Position: E-Commerce Director ... Location: Midwest (company will relocate) ... Compensation: $70-80K ... Description: Responsible for all aspects of content, look, and feel of company's direct-to-consumer commerce websites, including merchandising and creative; identify product and determine pricing and positioning for all web-based product offerings with distinct strategies to grow and maximize profitability for each program; collaborate with other departments in the development of new in-house product, selecting and procuring outside product, developing selling strategies, managing web sites, and driving traffic and successfully leveraging existing customer database; analyze product performance using existing reports and creating new tools to determine profitability of product placements, guiding buying/developing product, and future offers; manage web product inventory in collaboration with other users of shared inventory; determine initial catalog buys and establishing re-buying policies for web selling; directly supervise e-commerce staff; analyze competitive sites to determine trends, pricing, and competitive mix. ... Qualifications: Minimum five years merchandising experience, including domestic and imported products, and development of proprietary product; thorough knowledge and understanding of inventory control practices; experience in creative execution, including pagination, layout, copy, photography, and printing; a history of successful merchandising/creative management, instituting measures that grow profits.
